Why can't I add another site or read one today?

Reading a site is free, but it is not free for us: every read crawls the site and asks the model to write the profile. So an account that has not yet run an analysis gets a generous allowance rather than an unlimited one.

Both limits disappear the first time credits land on the account, by buying a single analysis, a credit pack or a plan. From then on the only limit is your credit balance, and what things cost explains that.

What the messages mean

• "Free accounts can set up 3 sites." You already have three. Run an analysis on one of them, or delete a site you no longer need from its Settings tab, and add the new one.
• "Free accounts can read 5 sites a day, and you have used today's." The count rolls over 24 hours after the first of today's reads. Come back tomorrow, or run an analysis to lift the limit now.

Sign-in links

Sign-in links are limited too: five per email address an hour, and a dozen per connection an hour. If you hit that, the link you already have still works; see the sign-in link did not arrive.
