Editorial Policy

1. What this covers

Two kinds of content. First, what we publish ourselves: the public website, help text inside the app, emails and announcements. Second, what the Service generates for you: site profiles, keyword decisions, briefs and written page drafts. The principles are the same; the process differs because the second kind is produced by software on your request.

2. Principles

2.1 Accuracy

Facts are checked against a source before they are stated. In generated content that rule is mechanical: a claim must trace to a stored record, and a fact the research did not contain appears as a marked placeholder for you to fill, never as a guess. In our own writing we cite figures from the product's real cost and usage records, and we say when a number is an estimate.

2.2 Plain language

We write for a business owner who has never opened an SEO tool. Labels explain themselves, sentences are short, and jargon is avoided or defined where it first appears. Generated drafts follow a written set of platform writing rules, plus any rules you set for your site, and every draft is checked against them before it is shown.

2.3 Honesty about automation

Where a large language model wrote or judged something, we say so. The Service's briefs and drafts are labelled as generated, the evidence behind each decision is one click away, and we never present generated text as the work of a named person.

2.4 Independence

Legiit Keywords is a Legiit product and may point to service categories on the Legiit marketplace. That relationship is disclosed, and it does not change a recommendation. We do not accept payment to feature a tool, site or vendor in our content or in the Service's output.

2.5 Fairness and taste

We do not publish or generate content that is discriminatory, defamatory, deceptive or unlawful, and we decline research requests that would produce it. Quotes from third-party pages are short, attributed by URL and used only to show what a page does or fails to do for a searcher.

2.6 Privacy

We do not publish personal data about individuals, and generated content is not built from any customer's private data other than the customer it is for.

3. Process for what we publish

1. Draft. Written by a member of the team, with sources noted.
2. Check. Facts, figures and claims about the product are verified against the product itself.
3. Sign-off. Management approves anything about pricing, legal matters or third parties.
4. Review. Public pages are re-read when the product changes; policies at least yearly.

4. Process for what the Service generates

1. Research. Live search results, ranking pages, backlink data and search volumes are fetched and stored.
2. Judgment. Automated analysis decides what each keyword group needs and whether your site can win it, from the stored evidence only.
3. Writing. Briefs and drafts are written from the decision and the evidence, under the writing rules, with placeholders for missing facts.
4. Checks. Every draft is scanned for banned phrasing, structure and length, and the result is shown to you beside the text.
5. You. You edit, approve and publish. Nothing the Service writes is published anywhere by us.

5. Corrections

If something we published is wrong, email help@legiit.com. We correct errors of fact promptly and note the correction on the page where it matters. If the Service produced a claim without evidence behind it, tell us with the run and page; we treat it as a defect and fix the cause, not just the instance.
