How do I write the pages of a map in batches?

1. Open the site's Map tab. The tree and the Publishing order view both carry a tick box on every page that can be written.
2. Tick the pages you want, or press Tick the first 50. The bar shows the count and the price: 30 credits a page, brief included.
3. Press Write. The credits are charged when the batch starts and returned if it fails on our side.
4. Watch progress on the run page, or leave. Each page lands on its own page document as it is written, and we email you when the batch is done.

What each page gets

• A map brief. Beyond the ordinary brief it fixes the macro context, the angle from the representative context to the specific one, the headings in order with the question each answers and the format of its answer, the entities and units each section must carry, the anchors to place with their targets, the images, the closing section and the sources to cite. • The draft. Written under the platform writing rules plus the rules for a map page: one fact a sentence, the answer first, no opinion without a source, the specific phrase as the subject, units where the question implies them, links exactly where the brief puts them and never in the first paragraph. Checked against the rules, cleaned once, and flagged for a human eye where an anchor is missing or a heading strayed from the brief.

Checkpoints

A batch is one run with a checkpoint after every page. If the worker restarts, the run resumes with the pages already written kept, and never writes a page twice. Pages that already have a draft are not ticked again; write a new version from the page document if you want one.

Limits

Up to 50 pages a batch, about two minutes a page. Two runs in progress per account, so a large map is written in a few batches. A batch on a page that is not part of a map writes an ordinary draft.
