How do I create an account and sign in?

Creating an account

1. Go to legiitkeywords.com and press Unlock Your Plan for $1. If you typed your website in the box on the home page, it carries through to the next step.
2. Enter your email address and press Send My Sign-In Link.
3. Open the email and tap Sign in. It works in any browser, including the one your phone's mail app opens. You land in the app, on Add a Site the first time. Enter the address, then pick the $1 trial or the $29 one-site plan, and the research is under way.

There is no separate registration form. The first sign-in link creates the account.

Signing in later

Go to Sign In, enter your email and tap the new link. Each link works once, for an hour, so request a fresh one each time rather than reusing an old email. The link signs in the browser that opens it: to sign in on your computer, open the email there.

Using a password instead

If you prefer typing a password, set one in Account settings after your first sign-in. From then on the sign-in page accepts either the email link or your password. See How do I set or change my password?.

Signing out

Open the account menu at the bottom of the left sidebar and choose Sign Out.

If the link does not arrive

Check spam and any promotions folder, and make sure the address is spelled the way you registered it. More on missing sign-in links.
